Setup


After you are notified that your device has been unlocked by your previous carrier - VERY IMPORTANT STEP
  • Connect your iPhone to your computer and back up your device via iTunes
  • Restore your device from backup - select the most recent backup of your device
  • This will complete your unlock from your previous carrier, and then you’ll be ready for Solavei.

1) When you receive your SIM card, insert it into the SIM slot.


2) Next, reset your Network Settings (All iOS versions).
  1. From the home screen, select Settings
  2. Select General
  3. Select Reset
  4. Select Reset Network Settings
  5. Select Reset Network Settings, again

3) Next, turn off your iMessage, you can turn this on later if you would like, but it can affect your MMS.
  1. From the home screen, select Settings
  2. Select Messages
  3. Tap the slide to turn off iMessage

4) Next, set up your APN Settings on your iPhone to ensure your picture messaging and data (Internet) work. (Don't know you iOS Version, click here: Mobile Phone Operating Systems

iOS 4 and 5

  1. From the home screen, select Settings
  2. Select General
  3. Select Network
  4. Verify the following settings: 
    1. Cellular Data: On 
    2. 3G Enable: On 
    3. Data Roaming: Off 
  5. Select Cellular Data Network 
    1. If the "Cellular Data Network" option is not available in your settings, your iPhone is not unlocked. 
  6. Enter the following information under the Cellular Data section: 
    1. APN: solavei 
    2. Username: <leave blank>
    3. Password: <leave blank>
  7. Enter the following information under the MMS section: 
    1. APN: solavei 
    2. Username: <leave blank> 
    3. Password: <leave blank> 
    4. MMSC: http://solavei.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc 
    5. MMS Proxy: <leave blank> Optional: 216.155.165.50 (May not work on your iPhone) 
    6. MMS Max Message Size: <leave blank>
    7. MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf 
  8. Press the Home button to save the APN and exit to the main screen. 
  9. Turn the device off and back on by holding the sleep button for a few seconds and sliding the red power off slider when it appears. Then turn it back on by holding the sleep button again for a few seconds. 
  10. Test the connection by opening the Safari and going to a web page.
Verify MMS is enabled from the home screen:
  1. Select Settings.
  2. Select Messages.
  3. Set MMS Messaging to On.

iOS 6

  1. From the home screen, select Settings
  2. Select General
  3. Select Cellular
  4. Verify the following settings: 
    1. Cellular Data: On 
    2. 3G Enable: On 
    3. Data Roaming: Off 
  5. Select Cellular Data Network 
  6. If the "Cellular Data Network" option is not available in your settings, your iPhone is not unlocked. 
  7. Enter the following information under the Cellular Data section: 
    1. APN: solavei 
    2. Username: <leave blank>
    3. Password: <leave blank>
  8. Enter the following information under the MMS section: 
    1. APN: solavei 
    2. Username: <leave blank> 
    3. Password: <leave blank>
    4. MMSC: http://solavei.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc 
    5. MMS Proxy: <leave blank> (Optional: 216.155.165.50 (May not work on your iPhone)) 
    6. MMS Max Message Size: leave this blank 
    7. MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf 
  9. Press the Home button to save the APN and exit to the main screen. 
  10. Turn the device off and back on by holding the sleep button for a few seconds and sliding the red power off slider when it appears. Then turn it back on by holding the sleep button again for a few seconds. 
  11. Test the connection by opening the Safari and going to a web page.

iOS 7


  1. From the home screen, select Settings
  2. Select Cellular 
  3. Verify the following settings: 
    1. Cellular Data: On 
    2. 3G Enable: On 
    3. Data Roaming: Off 
  4. Select Cellular Data Network 
    1. If the "Cellular Data Network" option is not available in your settings, your iPhone is not unlocked.

    2. Username: <leave blank> 
    3. Password: <leave blank>
  6. Enter the following information under the LTE section:
    1. APN: solavei
    2. Username: <leave blank> 
    3. Password: <leave blank>
  7. Enter the following information under the MMS section: 
    1. APN: solavei 
    2. Username: <leave blank>
    3. Password: <leave blank> 
    4. MMSC: http://solavei.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc 
    5. MMS Proxy: <leave blank> (Optional: 216.155.165.50 (May not work on your iPhone)) 
    6. MMS Max Message Size: leave this blank
